W7 blog topic: Why Free Culture matters?



1) 'Free' in free culture is similar to a word, free like free will, free market not free in free beer.
That means free culture guarantee everyone's creative cultural activity and free culture is not
just free of charge. The opposition of free culture is 'permission culture'.
permission culture allows creators to create only if powerful or past creators permit.


2) I knew that the concept of free culture.
It is simple concept which guarantee everyone's creative activities and protect property,too.


3) It is pretty hard to understand exactly to what extent is free culture.
For example, parody MV like Gangnam style are free culture?
And Wikipedia is also free culture?

I think that free culture is pretty important because it makes active creators possible to create
more and more.
